Agile Concrete Plant V Fixed Plant

What is the difference between Agile and Fixed concrete batching plant?

Agile Concrete Production V Fixed Concrete Plant Production

Agile concrete batching plant is a batching plant that is mobile and can be moved where the demand is. For example, an F2200 has an output of 62 m3 per hours.

When you add two plants, the output then is 124 m3 per hour. And by adding a third plant, the out is 186 m3 per hour.

Not only does the output go up, but you can load two and three drum mixers at a time.

Three F2200 Batching Plant Comparison

Agile Approach

For high demands, three and even four F2200 batching plant can deliver a punch. Most projects start small and build momentum. Having a batching plant that can be brought in and put online within a day, with no civil works is a great way to fulfil demand as it grows.

The F2200 with pre-weight cement has a dosing accuracy of +- 1%. With Fibo LINK every batch is recorded and stored in the cloud. The data is then available for traceability, printing out delivery and conformity documents.

Some benefits:

  • 186 m3 per hour output
  • You can load two and three drum mixers at the same time
  • Move one or two plants when demand falls
  • Set up less than a day with plug and go system
  • No ramps or pits – plant sits on flat ground
  • Reduced capex as plant is more economical
  • 15-year design life
  • Production only reduces if one plant breaks down
  • Agile management means maximising margins

Fixed Plant Approach

The fixed batching plant in the image has an output of 180 m3 per hour.

There is a large amount of civil engineering to construct bases, pits and ramps. The setup duration for a fixed plant is a month and is uneconomical to strip it down and move it.

Adding the civil engineering budget, and the setup cost to the purchase price of the plant makes the fixed plant 50% more expensive than the Agile approach.

Once the demand for the plant falls, the plant becomes uneconomical to run.

  • 180 m3 per hour output
  • Fixed location
  • Set up two to four weeks or more
  • Uses ramps to load sand and aggregate
  • More expensive
  • Business life span depends on demand
  • No production on a breakdown

Two F2200 Batching Plant Comparison

Agile Approach

Two F2200 batching plants deliver 124 m3 of concrete per hour and are ideal for remote sites like wind farms, remote bridges, sea defence projects and a lot more.

The F2200 with pre-weight cement has a dosing accuracy of +- 1%. With Fibo LINK every batch is recorded and stored in the cloud. The data is then available for traceability, printing out delivery and conformity documents.

Fixed Plant Approach

The fixed batching plant in the image has an output of 120 m3 per hour.

As you can see it uses ramps to load the material bins.

Adding the civil engineering budget, and the setup cost to the purchase price of the plant makes the fixed plant 50% more expensive than the Agile approach.

Once the demand for the plant falls, the plant becomes uneconomical to run.

Get a Price for a F2200 Batching Plant

The F2200 is our most popular batching plant. It is flexible and can be set up and producing concrete within a day. No civil engineering is required. You can place it on flat ground, and away you go.

With an output between 25 to 62m3 per hour, the payback period is between six to twelve months.

The plant is reliable, and we have plant still making their owners a good return, that are over twenty-five years old. The plant keeps its value, and we offer a buy back deal when you want to upgrade or move it on.
