fibo Special Concrete Technology
At Skovsporet in Holstebro, the construction site looks anything but traditional.
Here, Hasan Alsofi, co-owner of 3DCP Group, is managing Northern Europe’s first 3D-printed homes – not with trowel and spirit level, but with a laptop. On screen, he controls the 3D printer that layer by layer builds six new student apartments in collaboration with NordVestBO.
The material is Futurecem, a CO₂-reduced concrete ideal for 3D printing: flexible in form, fast-setting and resulting in stronger walls than traditional methods.
“3D printing, automation and digitalisation are fundamentally changing construction,” explains Hasan. “We can build faster, explore new designs, and significantly reduce waste and material use.”
The results speak for themselves – minimal waste, a lower carbon footprint, and brand-new architectural possibilities.
fibo Ink
For the production of the specially developed concrete, 3DCP Group relies on a fibo FS500 batching plant.
The recipe, developed internally by 3DCP Group, is reinforced with fibres to ensure the right strength and consistency for the printing process.
At fibo intercon, we actively collaborate with 3DCP printer manufacturers and additive manufacturing experts.
Together, we are developing new ways of printing with aggregates on an industrial scale, continuously testing for stable and homogeneous production.
That’s why our mobile batching plants are a strong match for 3D printing environments:
- Consistent quality: The advanced control system ensures uniform, homogenous concrete in every batch.
- Full traceability: All mix data is recorded and documented for quality assurance.
- On-site flexibility: Mobile fibo plants integrate easily into temporary or evolving 3DCP setups.
- Custom support: Our SCT experts work closely with partners to configure and optimise each plant.
Whether you’re developing new materials, testing ideas, or redefining construction, fibo Ink is ready to support your 3DCP journey.
14 days – 6 homes
With only three people on site, 3DCP Group can print six student apartments in just 14 days.
An impressive efficiency made possible not only by the printer’s capacity – but by the stable, reliable concrete supply delivered by fibo FS500.
3DCP Group proves that concrete is no longer just concrete – it’s the foundation of tomorrow’s building technology.
When innovation meets reliable production, new opportunities arise for faster construction, less waste, and limitless design freedom.
