This also means that we continuously test mixes of new materials that can replace climate-heavy solutions or solve a specific customer need. These tests are often done in collaboration with customers or knowledge institutions/universities. Many tests are testing materials that fully or partially replace cement with more climate-friendly materials to ensure tomorrow’s tasks.

Hempcrete

A Greener Alternative That Performs

One of the materials already accepted today as a climate-friendly alternative to concrete is Hempcrete. Made from hemp, lime, and water, Hempcrete is an excellent building material for walls due to its insulation and fire-retardant properties, while retaining the strength that allows you to mount things on the walls. Among a lot of tests, we have also tested hempcrete on one of the plants, and it showed that with a fibo intercon plant; both doses and mixes of hempcrete worked very well.
