Concrete Lifting Hooks
Concrete Lifting Hooks
Description
A lifting hook is a device for grabbing and lifting loads by means of a device such as a hoist or crane.
A lifting hook is usually equipped with a safety latch to prevent the disengagement of the lifting wire rope sling, chain or rope to which the load is attached.
A hook may have one or more built-in pulley sheaves as a block and tackle to multiply the lifting force.
Lifting hooks allow precast concrete panels to be lifted into position on site and for lifting onto transport wagons.
The lifting hooks go into the panels during production. They usually are tied into the panel reinforcement to spread the load within the panel.
Lightweight concrete panel manufacturers use the lifting hooks in internal wall and floor panel construction.
Lifting hooks are designed with a safety factor to allow for safe lifting. During the design process, they are physically tested to destruction to verify the design.
The lifting hooks are produced in different sizes by fibo intercon (shown in the green table in the brochure). Special hooks can be customized accordingly.
The lifting hooks are tested for weight and pressure resistance during the lifting process of the concrete element and provide the required solution.
The steel used for producing the lifting hooks has quality S235J2+N and S355J2+N.
